Former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Alabo Tammy Wenike Danagogo, has publicly assured Governor Siminalayi Fubara of solid political backing across the state. Speaking at the 2026 New Year banquet at Government House, Port Harcourt, Danagogo praised Fubara’s decision to align with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He described the move as strategic, noting that cooperation with the Federal Government would accelerate development in Rivers State and Nigeria at large. Danagogo also hailed Fubara as a peacemaker and unifier who prioritises stability despite political opposition.
According to him, influential stakeholders in the state are firmly behind the governor’s decision, stressing that synergy with the centre would unlock progress and strengthen governance. He urged the governor to remain steadfast, expressing confidence in divine guidance over political affairs.
