BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, Collapses Inside Kuje Prison

There was tension at Kuje Prison on Saturday after Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, reportedly collapsed inside the correctional facility.

According to reports, Ejimakor was rushed to the Kuje Medical Centre, where he is currently receiving treatment.

One of Kanu’s legal representatives, Barrister Maxwell Opara, confirmed the development to DAILY POST, revealing that he personally visited Ejimakor at the medical centre.

“Yes, I went to see him and he was admitted at Kuje Medical Centre where they are treating him. I left there a few hours ago,” Opara said.

He explained that the incident occurred before his arrival but that he was allowed to see Ejimakor after insisting on his right as a fellow lawyer.

“When I got there around 12, I started hearing the news. I saw Sowore and others before they took me to see him,” Opara added.

Ejimakor’s collapse comes barely 24 hours after a Kuje Magistrate Court judge, Abubakar Umar Sai’id, refused to sign his bail bond for release.

The lawyer was arrested on Monday alongside 12 others, including Prince Emmanuel Kanu, Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother, during a protest demanding the IPOB leader’s freedom in Abuja.

They were subsequently arraigned before the Kuje Magistrate Court by the Nigeria Police Force.
