The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested three young women captured in a viral video assaulting a lady identified as Nancy.
The disturbing footage, which trended days ago, showed Kadi and two others physically attacking Nancy over allegations of an affair and gossip about men.
Nancy, who attempted to defend herself, was overpowered as the suspects mocked her, allegedly “broke-shaming” her on WhatsApp for being unable to afford a wig.
The situation escalated when the group forcibly undressed her, recorded the attack, and shared the video online. The act triggered widespread outrage and demands for justice.
Under public pressure, Bayelsa Police confirmed in a new video that the three suspects are now in custody. Authorities say they will face prosecution for the assault.
