The Nigerian military has declared that wanted terrorist leader, Bello Turji, is currently in panic as intensified security operations tighten around criminal groups in the North-West.
Speaking during an operational tour in Zamfara State, the Theatre Commander of Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Warrah Idris, said sustained ground assaults, intelligence gathering and advanced surveillance have placed Turji under constant pressure.
According to him, Turji has been forced to relocate frequently, a sign of confusion and fear triggered by ongoing military actions. Idris dismissed claims that the terror leader controls any local government, describing such reports as propaganda.
He assured that Turji and other notorious bandit leaders are being actively tracked and stressed that the military remains determined to dismantle all criminal networks. The commander also debunked rumours about the planned release of bandits, calling them false and misleading.
