Bandits Kill 3, Kidnap Catholic Priest and Others in Fresh Kaduna Attack
Fear has returned to parts of Kaduna State after suspected bandits launched another deadly attack, killing three villagers and kidnapping several people, including a Catholic priest and other religious leaders.
Residents say the attackers struck suddenly and without warning, leaving communities in shock and mourning.
What Happened?
According to local sources, the attack occurred in the Kauru and Kagarko Local Government Areas in the early hours of Saturday.
Gunmen invaded the communities, opened fire, and killed at least three people before abducting:

The attackers reportedly escaped before security forces could arrive.
“We Are Living in Fear”
Eyewitnesses described chaos as villagers ran for safety.
“We heard gunshots everywhere. People were screaming and running,” a resident said.
Many families are now afraid to sleep in their homes, fearing another night attack.

The Catholic Church has condemned the attack and called for prayers for the safe return of those kidnapped. Community leaders have also appealed to the government to urgently improve security in rural areas.
