Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressing confidence that the party is set for major gains ahead of the 2027 general elections. Atiku registered as a member on Thursday in Yola, receiving his membership card and a customised “Waziri 01” jersey in a ceremony attended by supporters and party leaders.
He affirmed that the ADC’s nationwide mobilisation remains strong, noting that the party recently unveiled its Taraba State secretariat. Atiku described the ADC as a fast-moving political force preparing to expand its influence across Nigeria.
