The Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force North East, Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, has reaffirmed the Nigerian military’s resolve to intensify operations to bring insurgency in the North East to a decisive end.
Speaking at the Combined West African Social Activity (WASA) 2025 in Maiduguri, Abubakar said troops had recorded notable successes in restoring law and order across Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states. He attributed the relative peace in parts of the region to the commitment and sacrifices of personnel operating under the Chief of Army Staff’s command philosophy.
The Theatre Commander thanked President Bola Tinubu, the Chief of Defence Staff and the Service Chiefs for strategic guidance, improved logistics and welfare support, assuring them that efforts would be sustained to crush remaining terrorist elements.
Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, through the Secretary to the State Government, commended the army’s resilience and pledged continued state support for Operation Hadin Kai in the pursuit of lasting peace.
