The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has hinted that its National Executive Council may soon formally endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 elections. National Chairman Barrister Sylvester Ezeokenwa made the revelation during a press briefing in Abuja, stating that APGA remains Nigeria’s strongest progressive party and shares ideological alignment with Tinubu’s administration.
He emphasized that APGA traditionally supports any central government that demonstrates commitment to good governance, noting how Anambra’s Governor Soludo exemplifies this principle. Ezeokenwa dismissed rumours of Soludo defecting to the APC, stressing he has no such plans. He also criticized Nigeria’s centralized security structure and called for decentralization.
The chairman praised President Tinubu’s recent political gestures and applauded the appointment of Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu as a Minister, describing her as “the best in the administration.”
