The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, has boldly declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged as the dominant political party in Enugu State, signaling what he described as a new era for the ruling party in the region.
Nnaji made the statement on Sunday during a massive rally organized by the women’s wing of the APC, Enugu State Chapter, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The leader and members of APC are now working to rebuild APC in the state. The party has moved from zero to something big, and we are now the largest party in Enugu State,” Nnaji announced.
Women at the Heart of Tinubu’s Agenda
The minister urged women to remain steadfast in their support of the APC-led administration, emphasizing President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which places women at the center of Nigeria’s transformation.
“President Tinubu has shown that women are not on the margins but at the very core of national development. This is why we must support his vision and ensure its success in 2027 and beyond,” Nnaji added.
Tinubu’s Commitment to Women Empowerment
The rally also featured APC National Women Leader, Dr. Mary Alile-Idele, who hailed Tinubu’s efforts at empowering women. She cited financial inclusion programs and capacity-building initiatives as evidence that the current administration is creating a strong platform for Nigerian women to thrive.
APC Deputy National Chairman (South), Chief Emma Eneukwu, reinforced this message, noting that the women’s endorsement of Tinubu’s second term was consistent with similar moves across the country.
APC’s Resurgence in Enugu
Enugu State APC Chairman, Hon. Ugochukwu Agballah, described the party’s resurgence as “a re-engineering that has made APC the hub of political transformation and empowerment in the state.”
The rally concluded with the inauguration of the APC Women Wing, Enugu State, cementing the party’s growing influence as it prepares for the 2027 elections.
