The Special Adviser to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Bolaji Akinola, has dismissed claims by Osun governorship aspirant Senator Iyiola Omisore that Minister Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola interfered in APC’s screening process. The allegations followed Omisore’s disqualification from the party’s governorship primary, scheduled for December 13, 2025, alongside six other aspirants.
Akinola described the claims as “baseless and misleading,” stressing that Oyetola had no direct or indirect involvement in the decisions. He reaffirmed that APC’s Screening Committee and Screening Appeal Panel operate independently and constitutionally, free from external influence. Akinola urged aspirants to follow internal party mechanisms to address grievances rather than making public accusations, highlighting Oyetola’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and internal democracy.
