Controversial Nigerian media personality, Daddy Freeze, has opened up about his struggles with fatherhood, faith, and public criticism, revealing that he has been unable to properly bond with his children for nearly a decade.
In an emotional interview with media host Chude Jideonwo, Freeze disclosed that the last time he saw his children from his previous marriage to Benedicta Elechi lasted less than five minutes — and even then, it was under strict supervision.
“She said if I’m not going to pay school fees, I’m not going to see the kids. Last time I saw them, it was just five minutes supervised. Am I a murderer?” Freeze lamented.
On Religion and Rejection
The outspoken broadcaster also recounted how a pastor told him he could still attend church services after his divorce, but only if he sat at the back.
Speaking further, Freeze downplayed the role of prayer in Christianity, insisting that it is “not even in the top 10 most important things” for believers.
On Hushpuppi and Death Threats
Daddy Freeze also reflected on his friendship with Instagram influencer Hushpuppi, saying the convicted fraudster stood by him when many pastors and friends abandoned him due to his criticisms of the Nigerian church.
He revealed that his outspoken stance against clerics once led to death threats that extended to members of his family. According to him, his courage emboldened other Nigerians to demand accountability from pastors nationwide.
