Akwa United head coach Paul Offor has expressed confidence in his team’s motivation ahead of their matchday two clash against Abakaliki FC.
The Promise Keepers are set to compete against Abakaliki FC at the Uyo Township Stadium on Sunday.
Offor emphasized a game-by-game approach for the season.
“Our victory last weekend is now behind us. We’ve shifted our focus completely to Sunday’s match, and the players are responding well,” Offor stated to the club’s media.
“The atmosphere in camp is positive; the players are in good shape, and there is keen competition to make the matchday squad. I’m impressed with the healthy competition within the group.”
The young coach highlighted the importance of securing maximum points against the 2025 President Federation Cup finalists.
“Currently, Abakaliki FC is our main focus. We don’t want to underestimate the challenge because a win on Sunday will provide the necessary momentum for the rest of the season. We are preparing thoroughly as it’s a very important game for us,” he added.
