Akindele, Regina Daniels, and Tonto Dikeh Celebrate Nigeria at 65 Despite Challenges

Nigerian celebrities joined millions of citizens on Tuesday to mark the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, with many expressing hope and pride in the country’s resilience despite its struggles.

Funke Akindele encouraged Nigerians not to give up on the country, stressing that Nigeria is a land where talents thrive and opportunities abound. She declared she would never consider relocating abroad.

Regina Daniels reminded citizens that love for Nigeria should remain unshaken regardless of its challenges, adding that collective effort will make the nation better.

Tonto Dikeh admitted that Nigeria faces many obstacles but insisted they are not insurmountable. She called for peace, justice, and commitment to building a country future generations would inherit with pride.

However, media personality Do2dtun struck a different chord, slamming those who celebrated the Independence Day without reflection. He argued that the country needs a “reality check,” stressing that hardship has become a ripple effect where every generation blames the one before it.

Despite these contrasting opinions, the Independence Day celebration showed one recurring theme—Nigerians still believe in the resilience of their people and hope for a brighter future.
