Prominent socio political activist and ADC chieftain, Aisha Yesufu, has openly rejected any political arrangement that positions former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, as a vice presidential candidate ahead of the twenty twenty seven general election.
Speaking in a viral video making rounds online, Yesufu warned that she would actively oppose such a ticket, even if it emerges from her own political party. She stressed that Obi’s political stature, competence and national appeal qualify him to lead, not to play a supporting role.
According to her, Nigeria’s repeated pattern of sidelining its most capable leaders must stop, adding that the country deserves bold and credible leadership choices. Peter Obi recently joined the African Democratic Congress, a platform supported by a coalition of opposition leaders seeking to challenge the current administration.
