Six nations have secured places in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as the Round of 16 reaches its decisive stage.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles sealed qualification in emphatic fashion with a 4-0 demolition of Mozambique in Fez. Ademola Lookman and Akor Adams were on target, while Victor Osimhen netted twice to maintain Nigeria’s perfect record after four matches.
Egypt also booked a last-eight spot following a 3-1 victory over Benin Republic on Monday night. They now join Senegal, Mali, Cameroon and tournament hosts Morocco among confirmed quarter-finalists.
With momentum building, Nigeria will face the winner of the DR Congo versus Algeria clash, while Egypt await either Ivory Coast or Burkina Faso. The final two quarter-final tickets will be decided as remaining Round of 16 fixtures conclude, completing the AFCON 2025 last-eight lineup.
