Nigerian actress Sarah Martins has accused officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation (KAI) of assaulting her during a food charity outreach in Lekki Phase 1.
According to Sarah, she was distributing free meals to the less privileged along Admiralty Way when KAI operatives allegedly confiscated her cooking equipment and food items.
In a shocking revelation posted on her Instagram page, the actress claimed that she was physically assaulted and had hot oil poured on her hand during the confrontation.
“I was just trying to help the less privileged, and this is how I was treated,” Sarah wrote, expressing anger and disappointment over the incident.
The actress, who recently celebrated the purchase of a new car, has since received an outpouring of support from fans and social media users who condemned the alleged actions of the KAI officials and called for justice.
Many Nigerians have also raised concerns about the harassment of citizens engaging in community service and charitable acts, urging the government to investigate the matter and protect those contributing positively to society.
