Popular Nigerian singer and award-winning performer, Tiwa Savage, has opened up about some of the most extravagant gestures she has ever received — including a time a politician sent a private jet to fly her out while she was pregnant.
In a recent interview, the “Somebody’s Son” crooner revealed that after performing at a show with the Mavin Records crew, a politician sent his Special Assistant and a private plane to pick her up personally. However, Tiwa clarified that she declined the offer, choosing not to board the aircraft.
She also recalled another grand gesture when someone gifted her a Range Rover on her birthday. The luxurious car, however, was returned by the singer. According to Tiwa, the gift presentation coincided with a very personal moment — the day her now ex-husband proposed to her.
“I didn’t know the car was going to be presented that same day,” she said, reflecting on how unexpected the timing was.
