Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has officially nominated four individuals as Commissioner-Designates. This announcement was made in a statement on Tuesday night by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
The nominees will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation. The individuals nominated include:
- Dr. Jerry Uwangue, FCISM
- Hon. (Barr.) Kenneth Okoruwa Ihensekhien
- Barr. Usenbo Paul Ehigie
- Akhigbe Osi John Sunday
Dr. Jerry Uwangue is the Managing Director/CEO of J&G Engineering and Construction Services Ltd., bringing over two decades of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance (EPCOM) services in the oil, gas, and power sectors. He is recognized for his role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency, and he holds the title of Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (FCISM).
Hon. (Barr.) Kenneth Okoruwa Ihensekhien is a seasoned lawyer and politician with extensive experience in public service. His previous roles include Minority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and various commissioner positions in Youth & Sports, Energy & Water Resources, and Agriculture & Natural Resources.
Barr. Usenbo Paul Ehigie is a legal practitioner with over 20 years of experience and has held significant positions such as General Manager, Regulatory Compliance at FGR Energy Services. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
Akhigbe Osi John Sunday is recognized for his commitment to community development and youth empowerment, actively promoting civic participation in governance.
The nominations reflect Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to enhancing governance in Edo State through experienced and dedicated individuals.
