Karim Benzema has officially moved to Al-Hilal, leaving Saudi Pro League rivals Al-Ittihad. The 38-year-old French striker decided against renewing his contract with Al-Ittihad, citing the offer as disrespectful, and chose to continue his career in Saudi Arabia with the league leaders.
Benzema took to social media to bid farewell to Al-Ittihad fans, expressing gratitude for his two-and-a-half-year spell. “This chapter concludes, but respect and gratitude will remain forever,” he wrote, thanking the club, staff, teammates, and supporters.
During his time at Al-Ittihad, Benzema made 21 appearances this season, scoring 16 goals, and was instrumental in winning the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League title alongside stars like N’Golo Kanté and Fabinho.
The former Real Madrid legend leaves with his head held high, proud of his achievements and the bonds formed with fans. His move to Al-Hilal marks a fresh chapter as he looks to continue dominating the Saudi league.
