Rio Ferdinand Slams Man United Midfielder Ugarte Over Poor Form

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has expressed disappointment in midfielder Manuel Ugarte, claiming the player has fallen short of expectations since joining the Red Devils.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand revealed that Ugarte, signed from PSG for £51 million, has not displayed the tackling, aggression, and energy fans were promised. Despite being in 62 games, scoring 2 goals and assisting 6, Ferdinand says Ugarte has yet to show the qualities expected of him.

The former England defender stressed that interim boss Michael Carrick faces a tough challenge in helping Ugarte unlock his potential. Ferdinand highlighted that Ugarte’s performance has been underwhelming, lacking the impact in midfield needed to drive Manchester United forward.

Fans are now questioning whether Ugarte can adapt to the Premier League and fulfill the promise that initially justified his high transfer fee. As the season progresses, attention turns to whether Carrick can boost the midfielder’s confidence and elevate his game to match expectations.
