Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has explained why his side failed to secure maximum points against Wolves at Old Trafford, settling for a frustrating 1–1 draw. United took the lead through Joshua Zirkzee, but Wolves hit back when Ladislav Krejci found the equaliser to earn the visitors a point.
Speaking after the match, Amorim admitted his team lacked creativity, especially in midfield, where Wolves crowded key areas and disrupted United’s rhythm. He noted that his players struggled to regain possession early and failed to show enough imagination to create clear chances.
According to the Portuguese coach, United tried to respond but fell short in quality on the day. Amorim stressed the need for quick recovery and improvement ahead of their next fixture.
Despite the setback, Manchester United head into the New Year sitting sixth on the Premier League table with 30 points from 19 matches, still within touching distance of the top-four race.
