In a revealing television interview that has sent ripples through the political landscape, Mr. Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the last Anambra State governorship election, has made a stunning declaration of unwavering support for the state’s victor, Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Speaking exclusively on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’, Ezenwafor unveiled the deep, personal connection between himself and the governor, a relationship he described as longstanding and cordial.
The PDP chieftain dropped a political bombshell, revealing that he was the mastermind who convinced Professor Soludo to throw his hat into the gubernatorial ring in the first instance. “I convinced Soludo to contest the election when I was Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano. He came, he did well, and there is no perfect person,” Ezenwafor stated.
Going further, he emphatically declared, “I can assist him. I have been assisting him before; he is my friend. I brought him to work in Anambra.”
While acknowledging public concerns about security, Ezenwafor applauded the governor’s proactive measures. He, however, advised his “friend” to prioritize inclusivity and further strengthen security operations for the collective good of Anambra citizens. On the issue of alleged vote-buying during the polls, the PDP candidate dismissed the claims as being highly exaggerated.
