“APC Chieftain Raises Alarm Over Pantami’s Possible Exit — Calls for Tinubu’s Urgent Intervention”

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Bauchi State, Khamis Darazo, has expressed deep concern over reports that the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, may be on the verge of leaving the ruling party.

Speaking with journalists in Bauchi, Darazo appealed to President Bola Tinubu and the APC national leadership to swiftly intervene, stressing that Pantami’s departure would be a significant political setback for the party, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

He described Pantami as a man whose influence extends beyond politics, highlighting his contributions as an intellectual, reformer, and bridge-builder.

Darazo said:

The attention of the Presidency and the national leadership of our great party, the APC, is urgently needed to address the growing concerns surrounding talks about our respected brother and statesman, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami’s likely exit from our party. His exit will be a major political loss and setback for the APC, both in the North and across Nigeria.”

He added that Pantami’s reputation as a man of integrity and vision has inspired countless Nigerian youths, noting that losing him could damage the party’s moral and intellectual base.

Darazo further appealed to key figures, including the APC National Chairman and senior stakeholders, to engage in dialogue with Pantami to resolve any grievances.

He concluded, “The APC’s strength has always been rooted in unity, inclusion, and visionary leadership. Every loyal member is important, especially someone like Professor Pantami, whose influence and moral standing transcend party lines. The APC cannot afford to lose such an invaluable pillar at this defining stage of our political journey.”
