The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has expressed strong optimism that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will reclaim power in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during a party gathering in Oyo State, Governor Makinde charged PDP members and stakeholders to intensify their efforts, stressing that their collective labour should not be wasted but must yield victory for the party across all levels — from the grassroots to the national stage.
Makinde urged unity and commitment, noting that the PDP had the strength and structure to bounce back if members worked diligently and avoided internal conflicts.
He stated:
“The labour of our members must not be in vain. We must ensure victory from the grassroots to the presidency in 2027.”
Governor Makinde’s declaration comes amid ongoing political realignments across Nigeria as parties prepare for the 2027 general elections.
