2027: Oyegun Apologises, Admits Leaders Failed Nigerians

Chairman of the Policy Manifesto Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has openly apologised to Nigerians over repeated leadership failures.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Oyegun admitted that past governments have disappointed the people, stressing that Nigerians deserve a new political direction. He said the ADC is determined to operate differently, noting that sacrifices are being made across all levels of the party to drive real change.

According to the former APC national chairman, the 2027 general elections will be a defining moment, describing the contest as one between the people and their oppressors. He argued that many political leaders have lost touch with citizens’ struggles and warned that Nigerians are becoming more politically conscious.

Oyegun said the ADC’s campaign would begin with honesty and accountability, starting with an apology to the electorate. He added that the future of Nigeria depends on bold reforms and leadership that truly represents the people.
